Elimu nje ya nchi: Tuambie hali halisi

Nadhani watu wengi watakuwa wamesikia au kuona hali kwenye vyuo vikuu au vyuo vya elimu ya juu kwenye miji mbalimbali kwa njia moja au nyingine, iwe Ulaya, Afrika, Amerika au Asia. Na Vijana wengi zaidi wanatamani au wana mipango ya kusoma nje ya nchi.

Bahati mbaya upatikanaji wa ‘info’ muhimu kwa Vijana ambao wanataka kusoma nje sio rahisi sana kama inavyopaswa kuwa, hasa Tanzania. Sijui hii inatokana na nini haswa; kasumba ya vizazi vilivyopita? Uchoyo wa Vijana ambao wako nje tayari? Uwoga?


Hilo sio dhumuni la nakaka hii. Lakini watu waliopata nafasi ya kusoma nje watakuwa wameshuhudia ufinyu wa Vijana kutoka Tanzania – ukilinganisha na nchi nyingine za Afrika – kwenye vyuo mbalimbali hasa Ulaya. Kuna sababu nyingi zinazochangia hili, lakini kwa mtazamo wangu nadhani labda hali inaanza kubabadilika kadri miaka inavyoenda.

Dhumuni la nakala hii ni kujaribu kuwapa Vijana na wazazi picha ya hali halisi kwenye vyuo vilivyopo kwenye miji mbalimbali duniani. Kwahiyo nawaomba wale ambao wanaosoma na waliosoma kwenye vyuo vya nje kuwapa picha halisi (ya kuwa wanafunzi kwenye nchi za watu) Vijana wenye ndoto za kufuata nyayo zao.

Unaweza kutoa rai yako kwa njia yoyote unayokufaa. Kama unakwazwa kidogo unaweza kutumia mfumo ufuatao, ukijibu maswali mbalimbali:

– Chuo ulichosoma, mji, nchi [website]

– Ulisomea/Unasomea nini? Ukubwa wa ‘department’.

– ‘Info’ muhimu kuhusu scholarships/grants/financial aid/loans.

– Vipi kuhusu ‘social life’, matatizo ya lugha, ubaguzi, upatikanaji wa misaada pale unapokumbwa na matatizo. Kuna urahisi wowote kwa ajili ya maisha ya mwanafunzi?

– Na vitu vingine ambavyo unadhani ni muhimu, kwa mfano upatikanaji wa ‘student jobs’ n.k.

Steven was born and raised in Dar es Salaam, and moved to Germany for his studies. He graduated with a BSc. in Physics (Jacobs University Bremen), and then a MSc. in Engineering Physics (Technische Universität München).
