Kibera Good Governance Festival – Nairobi

A new event is being born on Madaraka Day 1st June. Kibera Good Governance Festival will be held just outside Kibera, on the DC’s Ground in Makina, starting with local artists performing from 12 noon. Headlining artists include Juliani (KE), Abbi (KE), Mzungu Kichaa (TZ/DK) & VQEE (KE/DK).

Steven was born and raised in Dar es Salaam, and moved to Germany for his studies. He graduated with a BSc. in Physics (Jacobs University Bremen), and then a MSc. in Engineering Physics (Technische Universität München). Steven is currently pursuing a PhD in Physics (growth of coatings/multilayers for next generation lithography reflective optics) in the Netherlands.   1. Will the artists be focussing on good governance messages for the Kibera area as well as Kenya in general?

  2. My bad, I thought the poster was self-explanatory.

    Here is what Mr. Espen forwarded to me:

    "The event will also include talks about the proposed constitution. Both the current and the proposed constitution will be available also free of charge."

    So, I guess the aim is to raise political awareness amongst KE youths (i.e. make them understand what KE is going through from 'constitutional-changes' point of view).
