IRP journalism trip to India in Feb 2013

The International Reporting Project (IRP) is organizing a trip for journalists to India to examine child survival from February 17-27, 2013.

The aim of the trip is to document factors affecting short and long term child survival, including vaccine development, malnutrition, tuberculosis, polio, HIV/AIDS, maternal health, access to clean water and hygiene and health privatization. Rural support for health will also be examined as a factor affecting child survival.

New media journalists, including bloggers, social media editors, photo/videographers, new media contributors and media professionals are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants from select countries, including Tanzania. Except for visas which will be refunded, IRP will cover all trip expenses.

This will be one of three trips the IRP is organizing in 2013, the other two being to South Africa in July and Brazil in November.

To apply, see theĀ application form here.

Deadline for applications is 10th December 2012.
