“Bila Sanaa” – Imam Abbas feat Juma Nature

Hivyo ndivyo mashairi ya msanii mkongwe wa Bongo Hip Hop, Imam Abbas yanavyoanza kwenye nyimbo yake ya ‘Bila Sanaa’. Nadhani lile swali la nini nafasi ya Bongo Hip Hop katika jamii yetu litaanza kupata maana kupitia nyimbo hii. Pamoja na bado wapo wajinga wachache katika vyombo vya habari, wanaoita Bongo Hip Hop, muziki wa kufokafoka, bila kujua hii ni aina ya fasihi simulizi. Taswira ya fasihi katika nyimbo hii ni ya kipekee, ambayo inaibua maswali muhimu na kuonesha mustakabali wa vijana wa leo.

‘Bila sanaa’ inakupa mtazamo wa vijana walio wengi katika Tanzania ya leo, kwani maisha yao ni kama kuwa na “panga shingoni”. Panga hilo, laweza kuwa la kibaka akimwibia raia, au panga hilo laweza kuwa mafisadi wanaodhoofisha maendeleo; hivyo rushwa zao na ubinafsi wao ukizidi kuacha taifa lenye vijana wengi matatani.

Ugumu wa maisha, hasa kwa vijana unatokana na sababu mbalimbali. Wale walio bahatika, wakasoma na wenye vipaji, wanahemea kupitia elimu yao au sanaa yao, kama hii ya Hip Hop. Lakini wengi wa vijana wapo kwenye fungu la wanaoishi kwenye mazingira magumu na hatari. Hao sasa, ndio wale ambao kila siku wanatamani wangebaki “utotoni”, kwani “Bongo motoni;” kwani wakiwa wezi kweli watachomwa moto.

Lakini kwanini tuishi kama tupo motoni? Mtu unabaki ukijiuliza, hivi ukimya wetu vijana ndio unatufanya tuonekane mafala, au tumekubali yaishe kuwa sisi ni watu dhaifu. Labda moja kati ya sababu kubwa zinazotufanya tusiamke, ni hofu kuwa, kelele zetu “zitapotea kama moshi wa udi,” bila kusikiwa na hata kuleta mabadiliko yo yote.

Vijana waliosoma ni wachache, ajira zenyewe ni chache, na kwa wale ambao “maisha piga mashuti,” wanajikuta wanashindana na Wachina kwenye umachinga. Msanii II Proud enzi hizo aliuliza “ni wapi tunakwenda, tu.. tunakwenda” kipindi hicho ambapo tabia ya kuzamia meli kwa vijana ndiyo ilikuwa imeshamiri. Leo hii uzamiaji meli sio ishu tena, kwani tumekubali kubaki nyumbani na kuwa watumwa.

Sasa je, utumwa huu utakuja kufika kikomo? Hawa viongozi je, viongozi wanaodharau vijana, wanaodharau mchango wa Bongo Hip Hop kwa vijana na jamii kwa ujumla, hivi hawajui hatari ya dharau zao? Leo hii, tunaweza kuulizana maswali tu, ya “tafakari je, ningevunja mlango wako, juu yake kibano, kisha vitu msanyo,” kupitia nyimbo hii. Lakini, kesho ufisadi ukazidi, maisha ya vijana yakazidi kuwa matatani, unadhani vijana tutabaki tu kuwa kwenye “kona ya mtaa,” huku moshi wa msuba unapaa, umeishia ukizubaa,” au hata wao mafisadi watajikuta wakiwa wamewekewa mapanga shingoni. Labda hilo ndilo tunalohitaji lifanyike, badala ya kugeuziana visu sisi wenyewe kwa wenyewe.

Bila ubishi, sisi vijana na hao mafisadi tuishukuru sanaa, kwani ‘Bila Sanaa’, Imam Abbas anajadili maisha yangekuwa vipi; labda angekuwa mkabaji, mteja, mwizi, muuaji, lakini kama Lupe Fiasco msanii wa Marekani, Hip Hop Saved His Life.

Mwisho, Imam Abbas anaonya kuwa, “taifa la leo, majambazi wa kesho,” kama viongozi hawatachukulia kilio cha vijana kwa umakini. Kwani siku moja itatutabidi tujenge ukuta, wakati nyimbo kama ‘Bila Sanaa’, zinatuwekea wazi nyufa ambazo zinatakiwa kuzibwa. Mwisho wa siku, ukweli ni huu, matatizo ya vijana hayatatuliwa yote leo, kwani hata Roma haikujengwa kwa siku moja. Lakini sasa, juhudi lazima zianze leo, kwani kama nchi hii itateketea, basi sote tutateketea nayo, na tusisahau wala kudharau uwezekano huo.

Bahati was born and raised in Tanzania, and then moved to California to pursue his college education. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. Bahati expects to be doing his Masters in African Studies in the near future. He is currently working on starting a t-shirt business and a possible publication of some of his writings. One thing that Bahati cannot live without is music, specifically Hip Hop & Bongoflava which he argues are both the voice of the youth today, and is excited to look into how Bongoflava can be a source of further entrepreneurship among the youth in Tanzania. Bahati believes that Bongoflava can help to reduce poverty in Tanzania, as can a more collective effort among key players.

    Bahati, kwanza, shukrani kwa kuamua kuandika hii makala. Kuna watu wanaodhani “kelele” zako zinaishia kwa wachache ambao maisha yao tayari yamenyooka. Hata ikiwa 0.000005% tu ya Watanzania, usivunjike moyo — hiyo namba ukizidisha na idadi ya watu Tanzania (~ 40 mil) si haba!

    Wakati mwingine hata ujumbe ukieleweka kwa mmoja, na huyo mmoja akaenda kuwaambia wenzake n.k… taratibu, ila tutafika tu. Na mimi nimekuelewa barabara mzee…

    Kuhusu Hip Hop kuwa sanaa inayotoa ajira, watu nadhani hawaelewi:

    Kuna MC – Producer/Sound Engineers – Wasanii wengine – DJs [na wanaobana] – Warudufishaji kaseti – Wacheza shoo – Mapromota [feki] – Wauza kaseti (wenye vitoroli)…n.k. Hapo vijana wengi sana wanapata cha kuweka kinywani.

    Ila wachache wameridhika na “mafanikio” waliyoyapata, na wamesau kuwa wanaweza kufaidika zaidi na kufaidisha kizazi kijacho…

    Asante kwa uhakiki wa kazi hii safi ya fasihi. Kwa kweli hali ya huko mbele itatisha kwani maisha ya vijana wengi kitaa ni magumu, na kusipotokea unafuu, mmmh.
